Story to Tell?

Pencil Trick Productions present Story To Tell? - a brand new schedule of creative networking events taking place throughout 2012.

In collaboration with The Writers Guild (Northwest Branch) the next Story To Tell? event will be held at

The Brink, Parr Street Liverpool, L1 4JN

7.00 pm Monday 24th September 2012

This grass roots networking event will cover Next Steps for Scripts: Commissioning, Production and Publishing. It will be aimed at providing tips for success and industry insight for emerging local writers. The event will aim to connect such groups with The Writers Guild of Great Britain and its various membership forms as well as promoting The Lantern Theatre as a springboard for writers and new productions.

This event will cover issues including how to take scripts to the next level in terms of production, publishing and developing your writing for specific markets. At a time when creating an audience is increasingly the responsibility of the author, this session may also cover creating an online profile, blogging and e-publishing.

The panel of guest speakers includes Chris Bridgman, Director of North West Playwrights, BBC Commissioned Writer Karen Brown and Jennifer Smedley from local Independent Publishers Planta Press.

This evening is for those who currently work as or want to connect with writers, bloggers, agents, touring theatre and productions companies, scriptwriters or the relating industries of publishing and online media.
