Scriptwriting in Practice

With a specially recruited company of professional actors, offered by the Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University and North West Playwrights, this new course is for early-career scriptwriters or graduates with scriptwriting experience.

You will be given the opportunity to develop an original 45 minute play with:

Extracts from the final scripts will be presented in rehearsed readings at part of MMU's Script in Hand Showcase for a public audience in September 2012.

Applicants should have already completed a play for the stage, TV or radio, which can include plays submitted to an undergraduate or other writing course, at MMU or elsewhere.

For those wishing to gain a formal qualification the course offers 20 credits at MA level and can be taken as part of our MA in Creative Writing. Participants taking this course with two other short courses in creative writing in practice can gain a Postgraduate Certificate.
