Tamasha is offering the opportunity for an artist(s) to present a response to Snookered part of our Small Lives, Global Ties season - you could be an actor, director, writer, film-maker or group of artists presenting a piece of writing, performance poetry, actors' response etc.
The work will be presented on the TDA Networking night at The Bush Theatre in the auditorium on the Snookered set on Monday 5 March before the show (6pm - 6.45pm).

To inform your proposed response, please look at all the Snookered information on our website here including the background to the show, promo video and interview with Ishy the writer on our blog. The selected artist(s) will be given the script, and be able to interview the writer Ishy Din.
Note for film-makers: we will be using projection as part of the show onto part of the set so any film could potentially be presented like this. Tamasha will discuss the logistics with any selected artist.

Who's behind the wheel? A digital video project
Deadline for entries: 17th February 2012
To coincide with the premiere of Ishy Din's new razor sharp play Snookered, Tamasha is inviting video submissions from around the world about the people who transport you on a daily basis. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, train drivers, rickshaw riders... you name it! If they're somehow involved in getting people from A to B then we want to hear their stories and find out ‘Who's really behind the wheel'!
"I used to be a taxi driver that wrote and now I'm a writer who drives a taxi!"
Ishy Din, writer of Snookered
The videos will be showcased in an online gallery and discussion and interaction around the pieces will be encouraged and integrated with Tamasha's online community. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your work seen by a wide international audience and be part of a highly anticipated show touring all over the UK.
Selected videos will be used in an interactive project installed in selected theatres/arts venues alongside Snookered. Videos can be any length of up to 3 minutes. The brief is open to interpretation and we welcome all genres and styles; whether you shoot it on a mobile phone or hire in a film crew, the important thing is that you have a good story to tell about who's really behind the wheel.
Download full information and application pack here and attached
Deadline note: Submissions received by the 17th February will be considered for inclusion in the interactive installation which will be displayed in the Bush Theatre's foyer during the London run of Snookered. We will be receiving submissions to be included in the online gallery until 5th April 2012.
